Rosslyn Bay. Day 8

image

Baly at Keppel Bay  Marina today, you can just see a building in the background with a tarp to cover the roof blown off during  Cyclone Marcia. The marina has a courtesy car which was great to borrow so we could top up the stores, as usual the grog bill was larger than the victuals. Had sundowners at the yacht club and Goat arrived from Hobart just before 8pm. Will head off early tomorrow as we have adverse headwinds forecast but only less than 10 kts. Hopefully we can get to Island Head Creek, if not Pearl  Bay but we will likely be out of cell and internet range for a couple of days so no blogs till closer to Mackay. Will continue to monitor  Cyclone Nathan  by satcom.

Glad that all is going well so far – hope the sail north continues to go well and we look forward to further updates in a day or so. Stay safe and look after yourselves. T & F

Derrick is the crock still in the marina? I dried out in the corner near the boat ramp last June to change my impellers and it was only a few meters from Truansea. Island Head Creek will be a good bolt hole if you get any influence from the cyclone. Cheers Brian
