We actually returned with Baly to where we went with the whale shark tour group on Saturday. The anchorage where the whale shark tour boats are moored is about 10 nm west north west of Exmouth as the crow flies. We needed to head north around NW Cape and NW Reef then turn south so had to cover 35 nm to get there.

We had a good view of the communications base at the cape but it was hard to capture these thin towers  in a photo.  We also passed the Naval Wharf which is ranked as one of the ten best dive sites in the world.

Picked up a mooring at Tantabiddi at 4 pm and having steak and kidney pie for dinner. Early evening for early start tomorrow.
