Only a short hop down to Port Denison of 35 nm so I slept into 7.30am and we departed Geraldton at 8 am. Geraldton’s red and white lighthouse was our last impression of this great little town of 35,000 population. But the skies are gray, temperatures down and it feels like winter.
Reached Port Denison at at 3.30pm in the rain and after checking out the harbour with many unlit moorings and markers decided to anchor outside the breakwater. Tomorrow we have a long 70nm leg to Cervantes so will be leaving before daybreak. Prof is cooking red curry beef tonight.
