It was a marginal day when we left Tangier Island at 6.30am  so we decided to skirt up the Eastern Chesapeake shore behind the islands to the North of Tangier. We had to then cross the bay into headwinds further North but the exposure was less and we made it into Calverts Marina, Solomons at 2pm.

Shark was there to meet us and we all checked into a hotel as there wasn’t enough space on Gracie. Was magic to have a hot shower and a warm bed.

Shark produced a bottle of JD Gentleman Jack whiskey for sundowners prior to us going out for a steak dinner at the Fuddy Duck Restaurant. We have crossed another state border and are now in Maryland.
