The expected cold snap today presented as a blizzard when we left Colchester, Vermont. We abandoned our plan to drive east through the White Mountains State Park because of the hazardous conditions and we wouldn’t have been able to see anything anyway. Rather we went southeast to reduce altitude, latitude and get closer to the moderating effect of the ocean.
So we drove for five and a half hours and are now in Newport, Rhode Island. The snow became heavy rain as we passed through Boston and it has now cleared. We have been in four states today, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and now Rhode Island.
TJ said that traveling through 4 states in 1 day probably tickled the shit out of you guys..lol
