Today I left Deveen behind as he had been to Toronto before. After the two and a half hour train trip I had a 10am arrival at Union Station which will be a good train station when they finish rebuilding it. Checked out the beautiful Fairmont Royal York Hotel before progressing down to the waterfront.
Then went up the CN Tower which was the worlds tallest building for 34 years. Took these photos of the CBD, the airport and looking straight down on the Rogers baseball stadium which can be seen through a glass floor. Bit scary to walk on!
Then walked along Toronto’s Path, which is downtown’s underground walkway linking 30 kilometres of subterranean shopping, eating houses, services and entertainment. Toronto’s population is 2.6 million making it the fifth largest city in North America.
Slept a lot of the return train trip but made it back onboard Gracie in time for our skype teleconference with the girls back in Brisbane.
