Day 78. Peterborough Ont.

Today we went from Campbellford and Lock 12 through Lake Rice and the Otonabee River through to Peyerborough. Here we are at Lock 13 with Brad, Carlos, Elio and Marc waiting for the lock master to call the vessels through.

We determined that if you try really hard you can squeeze five boats into a lock. As it is a long weekend in Canada there is more traffic than what we are used to. After two locks where we the first through they put us at the back of the lock because they were having trouble fitting the larger boats in. It gave us a great view over the back of the gate once we were lifted.

Gracie is moored tonight at the Scott’s Mill seawall at Lock 19 in walking distance to Peterborough city Centre, ready to transit in the morning. Check out the beautiful river side parklands.
