Day 87.  Gunbarrel anchorage, Bustard Islands, Ont.

Above is the offshore route to get from Britt at the right across to Gunbarrel anchorage on the left. We didn’t actually take this route as there was 15 to 20 knots of Westerly, nearly enough to consider staying put in Britt. But by taking the “canoe passage” to the Northeast where you can see some beacons, we were able to gain some shelter from the islands.

Tonight we are anchored at yet another magic  anchorage, known as nbarrel. We would not have know about had Jim and Wendy not taken us to their home in Penetanguishene and fed us as well as telling us about places to stop at through Georgian Bay. This one has to rank as one of the prettiest the anchorages of the trip.
