Day 99, Leland, MI

Only 10 to 15 knots of breeze for our run from Charlevoix to Leland but the sea was a little bit lumpy. We met Steve who took this photo of me and his dog Bentley at the Leland Township Harbor marina which made me realize how much I was missing my JD.

Leland has a bit of a vibe about it, possibly more so today because there is a wine festival on the docks. The town is very neat and charming in a less opulent style than Charlevoix.

What is most memorable about Leland is its fish town area built on a narrow creek upstream and inland from the Harbour. It has old fishing buildings in original authentic external cladding now used for shops and eating houses.
