Day 101. Manistee, MI

A rain squall and 20 knots of wind passed quickly while we were offshore from yesterday’s lookout at Sleeping Bear Point. We had the pleasure of doing today’s passage in company with Jeffrey and Beth on the C-Dory Tomcat. It felt good to be with another vessel and particularly a sister ship. We also enjoyed Jeffrey’s running commentary of the sights as we went past them. I promised to give him a good review on Tripadvisor.

Manistee is yet another neat little coastal town with a similar configuration to Charlevoix and Leland. That is an inland lake with a river channel connecting to Lake Michigan on which the town is built.
