We were joined for sundowners aboard Gracie last night by Randy, who is ex Navy and more recently a retired Power Station operator from Michigan. He lives on his boat here and his wife is currently away visiting her father in Michigan. Randy recommended we visit the museum at Pickensville which features the snag boat Montgomery, a stern wheeler paddle steamer, launched in 1926 that used to clear debris and dredge in the Tombigbee River. Appreciated Dave taking me up to the Montgomery and information/museum as the marina courtesy car was unserviceable.
We locked through our only lock today with a 38 Beneteau yacht who have now also arrived in Pirates Marina Cove. Glenn and Kathy onboard have invited us to dinner tonight. Pirates Cove is a rustic place with some interesting characters living here
