Day 132. Demopolis Al.

Great evening last night onboard ‘Dad’s Surprise’ with Glenn and Kathy who cooked dinner and Steve and Zoila who bought their vessel after a partial sinking incident and spent 18 months on the hard stand restoring it. The host couple’s story was remarkable too, Kathy wanted to avoid the discussion of whether they should buy a boat and go cruising, she just bought a boat, kept it a secret while she cleaned it up for three months and then showed it to her husband Glenn. Hence the boat’s name.

Dramatic white cliffs on the Tombigbee River during today’s 90 mile run to Demopolis. Gracie is enjoying her first night under a canopy as the price was the same and it was closer to the washrooms (ablutions for Aussies)
