Day 158.  Jacksonville and crossing our wake, woohoo!

Another great night with new friends. Don and Erin joined us for sundowners on the dock and when it started to rain Bob and Sue also joined us onboard Gracie. Erin cooked us a pasta meal onboard their immaculate Baba 40 yacht that Deveen has fallen in love with. Erin sent us this dawn photo from our dock at St Augustine looking across to the harbormaster’s tower.

At 3pm we crossed our wake and are now at Jacksonville Landing, going to celebrate somewhat tonight. Five months and one day, 6000 miles culminating in a final large day, epic journey and a good serving of feeling contented.

Congratulations Derrick – what an achievement. You must have pretty mixed emotions at the moment! We have thoroughly enjoyed reading all of your posts; seeing the amazing scenery; learning more about various parts of America that we don’t normally come across; and generally just catching up with all your travels. What will you and Deveen do now and how long do you have to wait till the girls join you? Take care, Love T & F x

An entertaining lap for your followers; and no doubt yourselves.
Think you should take some Bernard Moitessier inspiration, and keep going round again !

    Congratulations Gents,
Amazing achievement – not killing each other I mean! Oh, and the actual trip was no mean feat either. I will have a beverage to help you celebrate – we are in Iceland so not sure what the poison will be but I will make sure that it is suitable for the occasion. I guess I should also offer some free medical advice – if for some weird reason you feel the need to dry out your livers I strongly suggested a tapered reduction – definitely not cold turkey! Very best wishes to you both – Tony & Cath
